4. Payment & Security
Currently we accept all major credit and debit cards - Visa, Mastercard, Solo, Maestro and the payment is taken in real time at the moment of ordering. We use the industry standard 128bit Secure Socket Layer encryption and never store any credit cards in our database. We discharge the credit card details as soon as the bank has authorised the transaction and keep just the last 4 digits, so we can identify the transaction if needed. We also accept Money order or Cheques as payment. Please note that we do not accept cash as means of payment for goods purchased online. Unfortunatelly we do not accept telephone or faxed orders.
5. Delivery
Please note that we will not accept liability for late delivery or the loss suffered from such. Currently we use two delivery options - Standard Overnight Nationwide Next Day Courier and Dedicated Wine Delivery Service.
- The Overnight delivery service. Although we try our best to pack safely the goods, the damages may still occur and as such it is always a good idea not to classify this as a guaranteed service especially for important ocasions. In the unfortunate event that such damage would occur, we will replace the damaged bottles free of charge. We will send an email confirmation when the order has been shipped and normally they are to be expect the following day between 8am and 6pm.
- Dedicated Wine Delivery Service. This is a guaranteed door to door service and normally the order will be delivered by the same person who will load the goods from the warehouse, so the chances of damage are practically eliminated. Please note - although this is a guaranteed service, it normally is slower than the normal Courier service and in some remote arreas may take upto 5-10 days for the delivery. We always give preference to this delivery method as it is more secure, however please note that we can not use it for small orders or order of less than £300 of the total for very remote areas such as Invernes etc.
6. Quality, Returns and Refunds
We offer a total peace of mind - If for any reason you dont like any of our wines, or think it has any fault, we will offer a full refund on that  bottle. If you have bought a whole case of one particular wine and you didnt like it, then we will refund the whole case price as paid, as soon as we are in the receipt of the rest of the wine from you, providing only one bottle has been opened. Please note - the case has to be packed and available for collection and in place of the opened bottle a suitable filler is to be used, so the rest of the bottles are secured inside.
7. Cancelations
You may cancel your order at any time within 7 days of receing the goods and we will refund you the full ammount paid providing all the bottles are intact. To cancel, please use the contact us page and ensure the goods are available for collection packed the same way you have received them. We will process any refunds as soon we are in receipt of the order, however please note that it may take upto 30 days during busy periods.
8. Liability
Unless we have been negligent, we will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by us, our employees or agents in circumstances where:
- loss or damage was not foreseeable to both parties when the contract was formed;
- loss or damage was not caused by any breach on the part of the supplier;
- loss or damage relates to business and/or non-consumers.
We will not be liable for loss or damage caused by the customer handling the wine. In particular we will not be liable for spillages or breakages.
Additional notes:
- Alcohol should be consumed in moderation.
- Extra care should be taken when lifting the wine cases. If you are concerned about the weight we advise that you transfer the bottles 1 or 2 at a time.
- Red wine in particular may cause staining if spilt so extra care should be taken.
- Sparkling wines and champagnes can be volatile due to the build up of gasses, extra care should be taken when opening these.
