  1. Crama Oprisor Smerenie
Tasting the Smerenie Review by Dan (Posted on 24/10/2009)
Upon opening our newest wine - Smernie, we were straight away attracted to a faint perfumed nose, that after a few moments and swirling around in our glass became more pronounced and even more Moorish.

The intense bouquet, filled the room and our heads, but was not to overpowering.......a wine for food, we had thinly sliced some Iberian Ham and had chosen a selection of stilton's to see how robust the Smernie is - Stilton is notoriously difficult to match with wines, as so many Stilton's vary from being hard with others venture on the very soft side - The dry and saltiness of the ham brought out wonderful notes of spice and mocha in the wine, and it helped the flavours linger longer in the mouth, I personally felt the harder of the Stilton's went better, they seemed to let the wine develop differently in the mouth, and overall made a wonderful experience of which will be repeated in the near future.

Smerenie is a limited wine, only 3800 bottles are produced and only when the vineyards deem the quality is good enough for the wine to be made made.

This is a special wine, one recommended for all occasions, and one that can be given to a connoisseur or a newbie to the world of wine as a gift.
  2. Cricova Cabernet 1990 Cellar Collection Wine
Perfect! Review by Steve (Posted on 12/01/2009)
I will put this straight. 19 years old wine for under 25 quid is not something I had any expectations at all. And this is where I was so wrong...
I am not claiming to have had many 19 years old petrus pomerol's in my life, so I cant tell the difference, but I can tell that this is probably the most pleasant 19 years old drink I had in ages. Fruity-aromatic, yet light and fresh with a perfectly balanced acidity and red-berries-cherry tannins. Perfect!
  3. Cricova Cabernet 2005 Prestige Collection Wine
Outstanding value for money! Review by Paul (Posted on 08/01/2009)
Rich and sensual colour, blackberry-mossy bouquet with an elegant cherry and prunes smooth palate. Young, yet delicate oaked tannins with potential to develop. I would Drink now to 2011.
  4. Cricova Codru 1995 Cellar Collection Wine
Fantastic taste - would absoultely recommend Review by Richard (Posted on 02/01/2009)
I was given a bottle of this as a present just before Christmas, took it home with me to share with the family and we opened it with a roast beef dinner. There's no other word to describe it other than fantastic. I'm so pleased I've saved the bottle because I want to order more - it has a lovely taste and smell that perfectly complements steak or a beef roast.

Buy a bottle - try it - unless you're an absolute connoisseur it'll be worth it, trust me.
  5. Cricova Chardonnay 2005 Prestige Collection Wine
Loved it with baked fish! Review by Paul (Posted on 15/12/2008)
It happened that I had an Australian Chardonnay wine at home, so I could compare with this Cricova one. The Cricova wine didnt have the intense colour or floral-aromatic bouquet as the Australian one, but it went really, really well with baked fish. I could tell you that it was a match made in heaven. Honestly. I rarely can find a sub £10 wine to be a good match for the baked fish my lovely wife cooks, but this was spot on - I am a happy man! First wine I try from you guys and you got it right. Well done! Tomorrow I will open a red :)
  6. Cricova Chardonnay 2005 Prestige Collection Wine
Crisp and clean Review by Ray (Posted on 15/12/2008)
I just thought I would share this review with my fella Cricovan wine fans, this chardonnay is a clean and crisp wine which does go down well. As Clive the reviewer says has a hint of citrus fruit which is a treat after being chilled this is something to enjoy after a stressful day. Try a bottle it was free delivery and I will be buying another 2-3 while the delivery is free!
  7. Cricova Codru 1995 Cellar Collection Wine
A fine glass of wine Review by Ray (Posted on 07/12/2008)
I was anxious to try a wine from 1995, and I wasn't disappointed. This wine is a very easy wine to drink and enjoy. The taste is mild and for a 95 it was very good value. It also gives you browing points when sharing it with your friends as other 95 wines are at least double the price or more. The wine also came packed in a nice charming box.

So want something good which is mild and warm then this Cordu is the right choice.
  8. Cricova Cabernet 1993 Cellar Collection Wine
Quality wine at an acceptional price Review by Ray (Posted on 01/12/2008)
I never heard of Cricova before and little did I know it was wine. I was a fan of wines from New Zealand and Chile but I think I am now a fan of Moldovan wine. This Cricova Cabernet 1993 is wonderful the taste of the wine is great as it's easy to drink and is a wonderful evening drink. Also at this Price makes an excellent gift, a wine from 1993 at £16 what a gift. Treat yourself to this wine and enjoy.
  9. Cricova Cabernet 1993 Cellar Collection Wine
Best value Review by Vadim (Posted on 01/12/2008)
My favourite wine for when I watch TV or do some work on my PC - easy to drink, not very strong, aromatic and with the right flavours to give you that feel good factor after a long day :)
