At Ptujska Klet wine cellar, tradition and a modern approach have joined forces.

Soil:
A diverse geological soil composition, consisting mainly of gravel and clay, with the lower layers usually covered by a layer of marl. The vineyards are spread out over the finest winegrowing sites on the hills in the area of Ptuj.

Cultivation:
Environmentally friendly “integrated cultivation”, under the careful scrutiny of agronomic consultants and Ptujska Klet’s enology specialists. The vines have a double “guyot” growth form.

Harvest:
Hot summer and warm autumn days in September were particularly kind to Pinot gris, a variety that loves the Sun and the heat to develop its palette of flavours and aromas. Nature's kindness allowed the grapes to ripen to their fullest and the harvesting of Pinot gris began in mid-September.
