Which courier do you use?

- We use 2 different couriers - APC Overnight and a specialised Wine Delivery service depending on the area of delivery as well as the quantity ordered. Normally we use overnight couriers just for small orders and when doing so, we bubble wrap the bottles/boxes, so the risks of damage are very much minimised.

How much do you charge for delivery?

- Our delivery charges are as follows:

Orders under £10 ex VAT8.99 inc VAT
Oders over £10 ex VAT but under £25 ex VAT7.99 inc VAT
Orders over £25 ex VAT, but under £35 ex VAT6.99 inc VAT
Orders over £35 ex VAT, but under £45 ex VAT5.99 inc VAT
Orders over £45 ex VAT, but under £60 ex VAT4.99 inc VAT
Orders over £60 ex VAT, but under £69.56 ex VAT3.99 inc VAT
Orders over £69.56 ex VATFREE

There is a surcharge of £15 ex VAT for Remote areas and Islands, that will be calculated automatically in the shopping cart when a poscode has been entered.

How long does it take for my wine to be dispatched once I place my order?

We aim to process and dispatch the orders the following business morning they have been placed. Any orders placed before 9am on a business day will be processed the same day. Any orders placed over the weekend, will be processed the following Monday.

How long does it take for the delivery to arrive once the order has been dispatched?

We deliver to London and the majority of close to London areas the following business day after the order has been dispatched, no matter the delivery method. If the order has been dispatched by APC, that will normally be the case for the whole UK Mainland. However our dedicated wine drivers will require a day longer to deliver, making it a 48 Hours service.

How will I know when to expect the order?

When we dispatch the goods, we will normally send an email notification with the tracking information if that is APC, or with an estimated time of arrival if that is our dedicated wine couriers. Please feel free to contact us if any questions.

Do you take cards and is there any surcharge for credit cards?

Yes, we do take all major credit and debit cards - Visa, Mastercard, Solo, Maestro, Visa Electron, Amercian Express as well as Google Checkout and we do not have any credit card surcharges.

Ok, I just received my order of Cricova Collection wine and I think to open a bottle, but it is wax sealed - do you have any recommendations as to how to open it?

- Please use a knife to shave off the wax and then your favourite corkscrew just like with the normal bottles. For more info, please follow our Wax Sealed Wines opening guide

Can I buy your wines from any of my local wine retailers?

For a list of your nearest retailers, merchants and restaurants please visit our Where to Buy page and use the postcode store locator tool

My promotional Coupon for Free Delivery doesnt work!

If you have a promotional voucher code, once you have added all products to the shoping cart, please enter your postcode in the shipping calculator and select from the drop down menu the 'Promotional UK Mainland Delivery' and click update total. Following this, please enter your promotional code in the Discount Codes textbox and click on Apply Coupon. Now your delivery should be shown as free. If you get the error message that the code is invalid, please check you have reached the minimum order ammount.

How do you transport and store your wines?

All the wine imported by us travels direct from the cellar to our warehouse in Kent and we always avoid summer months when doing so to make sure the wine is not exposed to temperatures that could influcence its nobility. Our Kent storage facility is a temperature and humidity controlled bonded warehouse and the wine is only moved when it has to leave to our customer.

Please feel free to ask your question to be included in our FAQ via the contact us page

  1. Tasting the Smerenie Review by Dan (Posted on 24/10/2009)

Upon opening our newest wine - Smernie, we were straight away attracted to a faint perfumed nose, that after a few moments and swirling around in our glass became more pronounced and even more Moorish.
